Redlynch Social Club in Woodfalls

The Friday night at Redlynch Social Club is built around two draws. One is meat, supplied by Pritchetts of Salisbury. The other is Chase the Joker, a weekly cash prize for members. On 31 July 2026 the club posted the pot at £2,900 and called it the largest in the area. The draw that evening was at 8.05pm. Pints were listed from £3.90, and the bar was advertised as fully air conditioned.

The joker has a condition worth knowing before you buy in. To play a round you need to be a member and take a ticket within the first six weeks. Prizes are paid each week. The Friday meat draw is separate, and does not carry that entry window. New members are welcome. The club’s own line is to ask at the bar.

The club is on The Ridge in Woodfalls, on the parish playing fields, near Downton. It is a members’ bar, not a walk-in pub on a village street. Its own description is that it is more than a sports club.

The same ground has football and cricket pitches, so match days and club nights share a car park rather than a high street.

The field is used for more than sport. On 30 August 2026 the Woodfalls Band picnic ran on the playing fields from 4pm. People were told to bring chairs or blankets, and the club said everyone was welcome, with the same £3.90 pints. In April 2025 Downton FC held a charity race day at the club, organised by Nick Sainsbury, which raised £450 for YoungMinds.
